Earthquake Relief
Growing Hope for Haiti has been in Port-au-Prince since January 19, doing earthquake relief work. We organized and lead a medical team that spent 2 weeks working in clinics and a field hospital. The team returned to the US on February 6. Gerson and Heather remain in Haiti, continuing the relief efforts. To read the most recent news from them, click on “Earthquake Relief Updates” above.

Eye Run for Haiti

On Saturday, October 31, 2009, Growing Hope for Haiti hosted its very first fundraiser, the Eye Run for Haiti!
360 runners/walkers participated in the 5K/10K, and we raised over $12,000! This money will be used to begin construction of an elementary school in the rural village of Magranbwa. The school will provide a quality education for many children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend school.

Growing Hope for Haiti would like to thank Regional Eyecare Associates for sponsoring the Eye Run for Haiti.

A big thank you to all who volunteered, donated, and participated in this event!
